In the Beginning Was the Word
My favorite Bible verse is John 1:1. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” I didn’t choose it because it’s famous or because it opens the Gospel of John with the kind of gravity that makes a room go quiet.
